Hello, I'm new here and I have this issue with my gaming Rig I've had it for 3 years or more and for some reason back when my GPU started having these drops for no reason and it still happens after when I got a replacement card. So my question is. Is it my Cpu that's causing this I get about 300 fps in my games and when the lag and freezes happen I get it every 4 seconds and it weird. My temps sit around 140 Fahrenheit when my pc sits idle when I boot up it's like  the gpu doesn't want to use its fan until i have to manually set them to %100 and after that it sits 80 Fahrenheit  when I have to completely underclock it  with MSI after burner

Motherboard:

Gpu: GTX 960 4 gb

Cpu: AMD 8350  4ghz

Ram: rip jaw skill 1833hz

Psu:600 watt evga

60C on idle is high if you ask me. what are the temps when you're putting load on it? either game or stress test. How much RAM do you have? and does it run up to 100% when gaming?

60c at idle is way too hot it should be around 30-40c idle, reapply some new thermal paste and see if it fixes the problem. As for the GPU that's normal the fans don't spin until it reaches 60c.
