Okay, let's say I have about 800-1000 bucks to drop on a couple of monitors. I'd want 1440p, 144hz, great colors, etc. I would LOVE a good extra wide that looks good and BOTH have to have good reviews and a good reputation.

Hit me with your best suggestions.  I'd need a main one for gaming. The secondary would be for watching stuff and monitoring my stream/chatting.

$1000 is a lot for a gaming monitor pair, so if you really want to go all out:

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-XB271HU-2560x1440-Display/dp/B0173PEX20

IPS, G-Sync, the works.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

2 of those would be $1200 bucks o.o

And is it extra wide?

oh no it's 16:9, by "extra wide" do you mean 21:9 or 32:9? because a single 32:9 would be nice instead of a dual monitor

I need the dual monitors for streaming. So I guess 21:9.

The secondary can be a potato monitor frankly if you're just throwing up YouTube videos and chat streams. I've got a 7 year old Asus monitor that was still only $150 back then doing the job. I think it's successor is now $120. I like my secondary in Portrait mode though, so I can see more chat, etc on it.

For the Primary, something like the Asus VG35VQ would be the bees knees. 34" 1440p Ultrawide with 100hz refresh rate. Throw a 21" 1080p in portrait mode next to it for another ~$100 and you should still be under $1000 shipped.

getting two with your requirements at your price is difficult, ultrawide is a nice bit more expensive than your standard 16:9 display. However, there are options with 100Hz that might appeal to you

How about ultra wide with the primary monitor and not with the second?

that's how I do it. in fact my second monitor is hot garbage, it does the job though.

try this:

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-Z35-35-inch-speakers/dp/B01A0FEBXQ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=acer+predator+21%3A9&qid=1554671733&s=gateway&sr=8-1

These predator monitors are awesome, and just toss any old display next to it.

I'll look into that one.

I'd like to see some other people's suggestions, as well.

1440p 144hz Ultrawide doesn't exist yet. You can have 1080p 144hz ultrawide or 1440p 100hz ultrawide in your price range. A single 1440p 120hz ultrawide pannel exists, it's made by LG and used in their monitor, the Dell AW3418 and the Acer Predator X34 and they're all $900 and up.

Personally I go with BenQ monitors all day. Got a Zowie at the specs you mentioned and am much happier with it than I am with the Acer I had before.

Also BenQ are just premium monitors with great colour calibration out of the box and quality production all the way through the product.
