MSI R9 280X Issue

I recently installed the r9 280x from msi in my computer. However, when under load, the card emits a fairly loud high pitched noise and flickering lines would appear over the full width of the screen. Is it possible to solve this?

If the card has an OC, take it out. Try reseating your card. Reinstalling drivers. If non of that works it's probably a bad card and you'll have to RMA it.

Try monitoring it during load to make sure things are normal. Otherwise, follow what Thunderjolt said. If there are still issues, the card is most likely an expensive paperweight.
