Not a record. During one of the livestreams, Linus and Slick got about 4,000 to go at the same time.

When I checked the other day it only said 1900 or around that, also check the bottom right hand corner of the main page, it tells you the most online and the date.

They are real guests, not bots, and this is a new record :)

I've spent some time in the last couple of days working on ways to drive more traffic to the forum through Facebook

dangggggggggggg following you on facebook but no forum account?.

nice work but still a really small forum compared to other sites.

It needs to be more like a normal hardware site with videos instead of articles with lots of comments!

In terms of growth though it has to be one of the largest.

I'm pretty sure that's the way we are heading... The LTT team seem to have been extra busy recently pushing for new content and expanding beyond just a forum.

I do like the way the community section on the main page is going to be though, its actually better than having to hunt down all the articles from different sources. We get the hits, they get the hits, everybody wins...such a good idea! To be honest I just come here for my tech news now and click on the external links to read more in depth.

We aren't as small as you might think anymore depending on how you measure it :D

And we're definitely working on improving linustechtips.com to make it more of a "site" instead of just a community forum (but don't worry we're not going to lose track of what made this place awesome)

What did make this place awesome, aside from you, Slick, the community, and the memes thread?

i really hope that you keep the forum part as the main focus, i do like what i have seen so far with the ideas being thrown around about expanding the forum, adding a news section videos etc.. but i hope that it first and foremost stays a forum and Linus tech website second.

Yeah actually just checked and okay we may be beat on total registered users, but in terms of active online members we have been on par at times with Anandtech and Overclock.net... So yeah... Big time congrats on that :D

The total number and guests will rise in time... It's been great seeing all this happening, genuinely exciting :)
