I'm curious if I can just disconnect and change hdd as I have a case without enough mounting points for my hdd and I sometimes need to chamge between drives but having to turn off my pc and switch out drives takes forever or is this just outright impossible

Yes & no. It depends what drive you're talking about. As stated above yes you can. For secondary drives. In a desktop non-RAID setup boot drive hot swap is a bad idea. Every other drive though yes. It's fine.

Also make sure the drive you're pulling out doesn't have any system libraries, recovery partitions or important files (like the pagefile)

How do I know if my bios has this option
