PC wont boot

Parts:

OS: Windows 7 Home

CPU: I5-4690k

GPU: GTX 970

Ram: 16gb

Mobo: MSI Guard Pro Z97

Storage 1: 240gb ssd (OS)

Storage 2: 500gb ssd

Storage 3: 3TB HDD

 

I was watching a youtube video and then my PC blue screened, never got to read the error since it shut down so fast. After it shut down it went on a loop constantly trying to start, HDD indicator flashes once, mobo beeps once, then it shutdown. It repeats this until I flip the PSU switch. If I flip the psu back on and press the power button the same loop repeats.

Are you able to access BIOS?

Do you have any recovery media for your OS?

Reset CMOS, and enter into the BIOS to change options you need such as boot device. See if that fixes it.

Reset CMOS, now does nothing when I press power button

How did you reset it? as that's not usual behaviour.

Turned off power supply, used mobo jumper

Hmm, OK... well in that case sounds like the PSU might be dead if you're getting nothing at all. What PSU is it BTW?

You could try unplugging everything except the boot SSD, including USB stuff except keyb. It could be that it doesn't have enough power for everything maybe.

I dont remember the exact model but its a seasonic 80+ bronze

I would think it should be fine, ive been running it with this psu for a few months

Alright after trying a new PSU and testing a few other components, it turns out the BIOS battery had run out of juice. Replacing that has solved the problem.
