Posted April 4, 2019 hey im looking for a decent 144hz g sync compatible monitor.. ill mainly game and watch movies on it. i have been thinking about these three: AOC G2460PF Samsung C24FG73FQM viewsonic XG2401 the samsung one has a VA panel which is better in terms of color quality and contrast... but higher response times (will that be noticeable?) will the samsung's VA panel be much better than the others ,and more faster-TN panels in terms of color? Posted April 4, 2019 Samsung looks good, but idk how much movies you will watch compared to gaming. If you are gonna be watching a lot of movies you should get something IPS and preferably 1440p+. Samsung may not be great for movies but will be good for games. For movies i suggest dell ultrasharp 1440p 27inch. Posted April 5, 2019 I would recommend Samsung C24FG73FQM for its colors and viewing angles. It features 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rate which is more than enough if you're a casual gamer and as you said you will be watching movies alongside, the Samsung's VA panels are better than TN for it. So, overall, if we consider a monitor for mixed usage which is better at gaming and as well as for other tasks, Samsung C24FG73FQM is the best monitor.
