Hey guys, i got this ASUS VG236H monitor which only supports 120FPS/3D through DVI input and 60FPS through HDMI. HDMI works fine but i need to connect my MSI GE63 GTX1070 laptop with my monitor for 120FPS. I tried HDMI to DVI cable from Amazon basics and i tried various aadapters, could not get it working and it still shows only 60FPS. I went into NVIDIA control panel and created a custom resolution with 120FPS and it displays as HDMI signal not found. any solution?

Note : AmazonBasics cable is HDMI 2.0 to DVI-D Dual link which is needed

hdmi to dvi wont work, as it needs to be dvi-d. try this: https://www.4cabling.com.au/1m-displayport-male-to-dvi-d-male-cable-black.html?utm_source=google_shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkIzlBRDzARIsABgXqV9IuIsPC0Exu0_WUp8yxa1KjiYo2olAT8CJS_U5I2j4d-vZQvTSttUaAuWXEALw_wcB

My rig: r7 1700 @ 3.9/1.35v, 16gb ddr4 3200, assorted rando SSDs, hx 1050, vega 64 1650/1025
