Price difference of both? Which country? (asking, because the Prices and price differences i talk about are in Euro from Germany. In case you're from USA or something, and wonder the numbers beeing different :P )

Oneplus 6 is discontinued, and could be "too expensive" for not beeing the latest device.

In my opinion, it should be at least 100 bucks cheaper than the 6T.

Also my opinion (maybe because i chose the 6t for myself): Get the 6T, it is hands down the better Phone.

Also, it DOES have an actual Fingerprint sensor. It's under the Display ^^

- 400 mAh bigger battery makes a difference

- Notch is WAY smaller, and the best looking Notch out there. On par with this years "punch holes". Some like the punch holes more, others find the Teardrop notch less Disturbing.

- Fingerprint sensor is at the Front. Personal Taste, but i prefer Front over back. Even if it's slightly smaller, and easier to "miss", than the previous "classic" one, but Front > Rear.

For me, it also works perfectly fine. Fast, and reliable, and it pretty much never misses, except i'm really far off when not looking.

- Missing headphone Jack isn't an issue. An Adapter is included. I have mine permanently on my headphones (UE 900), works perfectly. A very minor compromise to take for the other better things.

- Slightly taller Display. A few more Pixels more on the longer side with a slightly smaller Chin.

- Base model comes with 128gb Storage, which is a huge deal. 30 Bucks more for 8gb Ram over 6gb (and the option for more Colors. Matte black and thunder purple (which is also matte, NOT glossy), 50 more for 256gb.

It is absolutely viable to chose the Oneplus 6 over the 6T, if you prefer the regular Fingerprint sensor, and you really do NOT want to use the Adapter. But in my Opinion, Oneplus 6 should cost less than MSRP nowadays - and should be 100~ below 6T's "normal" price.

Storage speed, Ram (6 or 8gb), and SoC are the same, so they still belong to the "same Generation", and will continue to receive Updates at the Same time, for the same amount of Time.

But outside of Oneplus, have you considered the Xiaomi Mi 9? Like a 100 bucks cheaper than Oneplus 6T MSRP, and it's actually pretty damn great.

Only thing it's really missing out is any kind of IP protection (Oneplus is IP protected, just not official because that costs money), but otherwise.. Qi Charging is included, Snapdragon 855.

Battery is kinda small with 3300 mAh, but battery life seemed really awesome . GSM Arena mesasured at least similar Battery life times as a 3700 mAh Oneplus 6T. That snapdragon 855 and maybe other optimizations in MIUI made it pretty efficient.

Also, that new 48 MP Camera (GCam support), sexier colors than Oneplus.

But still, MIUI vs. OxygenOS. They are quite different.

Also, keep in Mind, we have April. Oneplus 7 will probably launch in less than 1,5 - 2 Months. Oneplus 6 launched in May 2018.

At this point, i would really wait for the Oneplus 7 in <2 Months, unless you really despise the Pop up Camera (but No Notch!!!). Otherwise, maybe lean towards Xiaomi Mi 9 and take that Snapdragon 855.

Xiaomi Mi 9 will probably remain the cheapest Snapdragon 855 Flaggship of 2019, untill theh Pocophone F2~ launches (but like last time, less features than Mi 9)
