Hello guys , I’ve noticed I get FPS drops with Ubisoft games especially the division 2 & far cry 5 ... other games run smoothly w no drops at all .. locked at 60 . IS this a problem for these 2 games ? Or maybe u have my settings wrong? But other games run buttery smooth just those 2 r a little crazy ... I play at 4k 60 .. w graphics set to high on both ...

I've run into the same problem with The Division 2. Joining conversation so I get notifications if someone has some solution. Or idea's to why this happens. Mine will drop from like 110-130 to like 90 for couple minutes then go back up to 110-130 1080p Ultra settings

I have noticed the same problem in Division 2 and on BF V same problem, even worse, stutters like crazy from time to time. I have tried lower settings, changing them, nothing helps. Could 144hz momitor be a problem? Although it is only 1080p

This sounds completely normal in a 2019 online open world game. Certain areas of the game will have higher fps than other areas. Very common in open world games in general.

Next time it happens, look at what your latency is doing(if you monitor it). If your latency is higher than usual when this occurs, it could be internet/population related. If your latency is fine, then it's most likely just the game itself and how it's optimized. The next step would be to lower certain individual graphic settings to find the one that may be causing the issue.

Just a shot in the dark here but I remember in the first Division, in the first year of its release, volumetric fog and the sky settings were to blame for some fps drops. Worth a shot to lower them and then go to the higher demanding areas of the game and see if it helps any. You can also try to put all your settings on low/off as well to see what that does to your fps. Then check for any dramatic fps drops. If your fps seems more stable, this is obviously a good thing and all you then have to do is customize your graphic settings instead of just playing on ultra.

Sometimes, even when you have the greatest hardware, some games will still require you to tweak the graphic settings and/or tweak your PC settings.

Yes, I’ve only been playing the story mode

Check your internet speed here... https://www.speedtest.net/

What is your ping(ms), download speed and upload speed?

Also, what are all the devices connected to the internet in your house? And what country do you live in?

Oh and are you connected to the internet wirelessly or directly through an ethernet cable?

All of that is solid. And I think you mean 94.0 download. 940 seems outrageously high. What I noticed is that you seem to have latency spikes while playing UPlay games. There may be a fix for that. It's quick and simple too. You just sign into your router on a web browser and optimize your PC by itself for gaming. Seems you sacrifice a tiny bit of download speed but it may be worth it in your situation because your latency spikes should disappear.

Here's a video on what I'm talking about... Just make sure to note your original settings so you can set them back to how they were if this doesn't work for you.

Be sure to listen to everything he says. This may benefit you. It may not benefit you. Worth a shot imo. Hit me up if you have any questions on how to do this.

Ohhh, I see. That's definitely the culprit of what's going on then. 1GB internet speed is insanely slow. Not sure if this trick will benefit you, however, having such slow internet is usually the type of internet that will benefit from this trick. If it doesn't work, the least it might(should) do is help it a little. I recommend paying for much faster internet regardless because the 1GB download and 0.40GB upload speed is the bare minimum for gaming and almost always hinders performance in multiplayer games. If anything, upgrade to 10GB download for around $10 more a month. I pay around $40 total for 52GB download and 14GB upload and it's perfect for gaming. My latency is almost always around 7-11 ms and in some games likes to hit around 16-20-22 ms, tops. Very happy with that too.

1,000GB is 1TB. I don't think that's even possible. You're gonna have to screenshot that speed test and show me. I think you mean 1,000 MB which is 1GB. And 1,000 Mbps is actually insanely fast. You definitely don't need to upgrade that but the trick above may still benefit you if you are getting ms spikes.

Yup, 946 Mbps. Exactly as I thought.

Your internet speeds are fine and so is your latency. However, those pictures above show latency spikes. Latency spikes are a bit tough to troubleshoot. And what sucks is that even your internet company technicians may have issues troubleshooting the problem. Some of them may not even know what latency is. There are a variety of things that could be causing this issue. Even such a little thing as keyboard software running in the background. And if something like that is causing the issue, it's tough to just know it's causing it or to even look for it.

I'm guessing the first step your internet service provider might take is to try a different router/modem. And you can very well try that, especially if the ones you are using are outdated. If they're not outdated, I personally wouldn't expect router/modem swapping to fix the issue. But it would rule it out. And they most likely would do this for free for ya'. Just gotta schedule for it to be done. I do recommend letting your internet service provider know about your issue though. So that they can try all the troubleshooting steps they know to fix it.

However, you are taking the right approach by checking with these forums. Sometimes a place like this can find a solution technicians may not be able to find. The trick is to actually have patience and wait for the right individuals to lend their expertise. I have read in other places online that the issue you are having is common and recently common at that. Wish ya' the best of luck and hope you can figure out your issue sooner than later.
