I need help getting drivers for my gtx 1050

Kacurran

So I am running Windows server 2019 data center. I want to run a VM so I can gift the VM to my brother. Well I can't get GeForce experience or any drivers. I am a loss. I also want to enable GPU pass through which I can't get to work.

is this a laptop or desktop. From what I know, you cannot do this with only 1 gpu. (if you have intel cpu's with iGPU it should work).

if you have a cpu with no iGPU and 1 GPU, you cannot.

False. You can always download drivers via the website. @Kacurran can you give us the actual specs?

nvidia will not let you install them unless you have a compatible gpu present. when you install, it does a check.

We need specs first. You can't determine if he is using a nvidia gpu.

Did you go to the official website of the gpu. Their drivers can be easily found there, You can also search google by placing the name of your gpu.

Ok. You can download the drivers manually via the website then install it on Device Manager.

Edit: If you don't know how you can always search google or youtube

Maybe its the wrong driver. Instead of searching gtx 1050 drivers, try searching evga gtx 1050 drivers. Other companies probably has its own drivers like asus so that they squeeze every performance out of it.

it doest matter if your 1050 is from evga or msi or asus. they are all the same gpu so all same drivers. go to geforce.com and get your driver. but if the gpu is not detected, it will not install.
