So this is my first computer and so far this is my build; Project Heavy.

CPU: Intel i7 3770K (Microcenter $229) - bought

Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Extreme (Newegg $380) - bought

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 2Tb - already owned

SSD: Samsung 840 500gb (Microcenter $290) - bought

GPU: Gigabyte HD7970 (Newegg $400) - bought

CASE: NZXT Switch 810 matte black (Amazon $150) - ordering soon

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (Newegg $100) - ordering soon

COOLER: Corsair H110 (Newegg $120) - ordering soon

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2X4GB 1866mhz in RED (Newegg $65) - ordering soon

PSU: Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution 1200w (Newegg $230) - ordering soon

Later this year I plan to add some corsair dominator platinum's 16 or 32gb worth, build a custom loop and add more cards. The colors of the build are black and red. I would like to know what all of you think.

My system- I7 3770k (4.8ghz), Asus Maximus V Extreme, Corsair H110, Windows 8 Pro, Gigabyte HD 7970, Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution 1200w, Corsair H110, Corsair Vengance 2X8gb 1866 (OC2133), Samsung 840 500gb, Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB, and all housed in a NZXT Switch 810.

If you are planning on getting Dom plats and a custom loop, I see no reason to buy a H110 and semi premium ram.

I would just stick with the stock cooler for now or get a hyper 212 if you want to overclock a little but then it's still $30 wasted

As for the ram, I would just get some cheapo 4gb set or maybe even just a single 2gb so that the system can run

If you don't care and want to waste $200 then go ahead but I wouldn't.
