So I recently moved into an apartment and we are required to have AT&T as our ISP. I plug my xbox directly into the router/modem to try and get all the glory of the 1000 mbps down but apparently AT&T doesn't enable upnp because of security issues and so that made my NAT type moderate and when downloading something never really got above 200. I currently have an old router as a middle man for my xbox and their modem but my speeds cap out at 300. Is there any better solution?

Port forwarding...

OR

You can see about putting that modem in bridge mode and get a better router.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I attempted to do port forwarding but it changed my NAT type to strict

Then put it in bridge mode and use better router. You dont want to connect a router to the unit without it being in bridge mode, or else you will have two layers of NAT and you will have an even worse time.
