Hello everyone,

I need to ask about my pc. this is my first time buiding a gaming pc. my build was ryzen 5 2600 with the enermax aquafusion 240 liquid aio. the idle temp are 38C. is it normally this hot?

Secondly, i use a gigabyte geforce gtx 1070 G1 Gaming 8GB gpu. the idle temp is 42C at 2300rpm fan speed and it gets to 83C when gaming. is it normal to get the temperature ?

Please help,

If you need more info on the system I am please to provide more.

Thanks.

cannot tell, full load temps with known CPU core voltage tells much more info

seems like poor thermal paste from the factory more often than not

For your cpu, a few questions,

  • Are you overclocked?
  • Approx room temp?
  • How's your case for airflow?

If the answer to that is No, about 20 Celsius, and Good, then I'd say it might sound like you're running a little hot given my Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.95GHz with 12 Chrome Tabs, Spotify, Hardware Monitor, and Facebook Messenger open is sitting at 32 Celsius on air.

If your room is warmer you can expect higher component temps. If you're overclocked that can contribute. And if your case has bad airflow then that can be a major factor. I'm using a pretty ideal airflow setup for a case in which I've got a Fractal Design Focus G (Massive mesh panel on the front) with 2 intake fans and 1 exhaust fan so my airflow is good.

If you still can't explain the high temps then you might want to have a look at your CPU voltages and if that all looks good then maybe thermal paste application. Failing that you may just have a rather hot chip.
