custom loop ideas for HAF Stacker

Go to solution Solved by xentric,

If I did a water cooling loop in this case I would do it like those modders had on neweggtv. Where they have the 2 of those small boxes and use both has rad boxes then put the res and pump in the main case. That's super overkill in terms of rads but room for expansions and you can keep the system quiet.

The Neweggtv video:

I have got a HAF Stacker and waht to make a custom loop for it. I would like to have a block for my gtx 770, my 4770K, and that would be kinda it. I would prefer it to be cost-effective and I dont mind modding the case. It would be the best if I it were with a red/black color scheme.

how many mini case things do you have with the Stacker. if i had one how id lay it out is: mini one on the bottom with just drives and possibly psu (best cable management) in it then main case with your rig and res and pump then another mini case on top with the maximum amount of rads possible in it as a water box.

sorry for not knowing the names of the different parts of the Stacker

MoBo: GA-z77x-ud3h CPU: 2500K @ 3.1 (miss my h80) Cooler: Stock GPU: EVGA 780 ACX RAM: 8gb G.skill SSDs: 2X Sammy 120EVOs HDDs: 2x Seagate Barracudas PSU: Corsair RM750 Case: Blue NZXT H440

Yes, PCJunkieMods was featured on NewEggTV with one of our marketing people. You can easily fit two 360mm rads in one of the 915R or 915F. I did some preliminary spacing work when I was testing it awhile back and you should be able to put one set of 3 fans on each of the 360mm rads and still have enough space in between them to place a MCP-655 pump. When you do plan out your loop, I highly suggest using quick-disconnects in between the 915 and main chassis so you can attach and detach them at will. It will also help with future maintenance.

Thank you both this really helped. How thick can the rads be?

He said in the video, "you it could support up to 60mm or bigger". I would say 46mm/47mm would be fine. Depending on if you put a pump between them, then I'm not sure.

I would say, if you do 4 360mm rads. That's so much rad surface area for most set-ups.
