Hi

I'm planning on upgrading from my MSI Stealth Pro GS63VR 7RF to a new Mid Tower PC.

My current build plan(https://geizhals.at/?cat=WL-1104689) looks like this:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 ~160€  (gonna oc)

GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Armor 8G ~529€

Motherboard: ASRock B450 Pro4 ~80€

Storage: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB ~110€

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX black DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200, CL16-18-18-36 ~110€

CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ~70€ (also gonna use liquid metal)

Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 600W ATX ~70€

Case: be quiet! Pure Base 600 black ~70€

Complete price gonna be arround 1200€.

Monitor: I already have the AOC-G2590FX (144hz, 1080p, 1ms response time, g-sync compatible), got it for 189€.

Any recommendations or changes you would make to this setup? Buget is arround 1100€-1300€.

The whole system should also be as silent as it can be at this price point.

Most of the time I'm going to game on it, not much more... Sometimes light video/picture editing but that already worked on my Stealth Pro pretty good(for my standards?) so no concerns there...
On the GPU side of things I'm a bit unsure which card I should get exactly but i figured a 2070 for a decent price and good user rating can drive my 144hz monitor, so I picked the MSI Armor.

I think you could get away with a cheaper GPU such as a 2060 or Vega 56/64. You could also find a cheaper NVMe drive that offers similar performance for less than that.. Anything faster than SATA isn't noticeable in day to day use, even gaming.. I would prefer a 1tb SATA SSD (M2 SATA is fine) over the NVMe any day, unless you have the budget for both, then it's a non-issue.. 500gb just goes quick, in my experience, unless you'll be adding an HDD/SSD..

I reckon you can get away with a lower tier GPU for 1080p gaming. Maybe a 2060 or something like that. If however, you really have the money burning a hole in your pocket, you might as well go for the 2070. Also, I don't really see the benefit of NVMe drives in the real world, so maybe get a 1TB SATA SSD instead of a 500GB NVMe. I personally prefer Noctua over bequiet!, but that's just a personal thing so you should be alright there.

Final note: I wouldn't recommend using liquid metal. Ryzen CPUs are all soldered and the Dark Rock Pro 4 has plenty of cooling power to keep the temps on a 2600 in check. Also using liquid metal in a daily build is quite risky as it may leak out the CPU and destroy your components. IMO it's not really worth the effort even on higher-end CPUs, let alone a mid-range one like the 2600.

Hm, yeah I looked into the 2060/56/64, the prices for these cards in my region are just complete garbage... 2060/56 are about equal but the 56 is bit more expensive, and the 64 is about as costly as the 2070. So I just thought, just take the newer and faster one for future proofing.
Ok, gonna change the config to a SATA m2, but I will still rock out with 500gb because most of the time i only have 3-4 games installed at the same time and on my Notebook I also have only 500gb and had no space issues ? That will also make choosing the 2070 a bit more easy? Adding a HDD later would also be no problem.

Liquid Metal: Yeah, true... I just gonna try the normal paste first, if I'm happy with the result I'm gonna stick with that :)

Thank you
