So I went to RedBox and got a Blu-Ray disc and I put it into my external Blu-Ray player and found out that VLC doesn't play that so I downloaded the trial version of PowerDVD from Cyberlink. But thats giving me an error saying that PowerDVD cannot playback protected content (error code 0122). My NVIDIA control panel says that both my graphics card and monitor are HDCP compatible. I originally had the monitor connected by a VGA cable with a DVI adapter that came with my card. But now its connected with a HDMI but thats not working either. Can someone help please?

Oh I've got a GTX 780 and an LG IPS235V monitor.

Do you have any software installed that modifies the HDCP protection on Blu-Rays? ie: DVDfab or AnyDvdHD.

Newer disks may not play if these are detected on a computer, because of the built in java on Blu-Ray disks.

Also VLC doesn't fully support Blu-Rays.

Can you try TmT: http://www.arcsoft.com/totalmedia-theatre/

Try again also the trial player may not have the software update required to play the bd especially if its a newer one.
