Does any have any recommendations for mods that I can install?

Also is it worth doing or will it mess my game up?

fallout 3 is pretty unstable with mods. (even without mods)

I would use as few as possible.

And this is needed if you play with multicore CPU: http://fallout3-multicore-crash-fix.blogspot.ch/

too bad many cool mods ive seen require all the DLCs  like this Bioshock mod

If your grave doesn't say "rest in peace" on it You are automatically drafted into the skeleton war.

I've already applied that fix and seems to be working fine so far

I only really ran graphical mods, like 1 HD texture pack, can't remember name.

If you have NV aswell, Tale of Two Wastelands was interesting but requires GoTY versions of both 3 and NV.

I have GOTY with 3 but not NV

I'm currently downloading something called FOOK2, is anyone familiar with it?

Meh, I never really had the inclination to mod Fallout 3. As Jogostar said, it's pretty unstable even without mods, I wouldn't push my luck.
