i play crysis3 mp.....i have an r9 280x with fx 8320....

i used to get around 140 fps with low settings at 720p.....and then suddenly from 2 days i am getting 80 fps oly ....can anyone explain this ?

have you over clocked it or change any settings on it?

Have you changed anything the last days? If so: What?

 

Btw: Do you have a 144 Hz monitor or do you just feel like having that of a refresh rate? Won't matter if you have a 60 Hz panel so just asking because I am curious :)

You should have ran a benchmark when you first get your card so you know how well if performs normally. Try benchmarking now and post it here and we'll see if its normal. If it is, its a driver issue or the game.

no guys i didnt change any setting or overclock it.....and i dont have a 144hz refresh rate monitor juz 60...but i was also juz curious as to y the performance dropped..!!!!

i am still new to this computer thing...its the first computer i built soo that furmark or 3d strike are gpu benchmark programms right ?

may i ask why are you playing crysis 3 on low settings with a 280x

Why would you want an FPS above 60, when your display can't project any more than 60 FPS; regards the 60 Hz panel.

Well in that case (if you fix this) you can increase the settings so that you get a solid 60 FPS :) No point having more when you have a 60Hz monitor.
