Over here in Western Canada we've got Shaw Go WiFi and Telus hotspots, although Shaw has the most coverage.

Unfortunately, none of these networks support MESH technology, which means your device spends more time failing to send / receive data while you're roaming around the city because it's constantly hopping from one AP to another, rendering the service useless unless you're stationary. Often times I simply turn off WiFi while driving around because my phone's constantly reconnecting even in slow moving traffic.

 

Enterprise MESH networking has been available for years, and yet companies are only just starting to use it now. Makes me sad.
