Im confused DVI-D single link/dual link ?help

So tomorrow I was going to buy rx 580 4-gig and I read that it has only DVD-Dual link output port is it compatible with dvi-d single link ? or I have to buy adapter?

I'd probably get a new cable entirely

It is compatible, but you won't get anything more than 1920x1200 60hz
