Hi guys. I'm planning to build a stealth gaming pc with 9900k but I have a bit of a problem. There is no air cooler that fits in node 202 that can handle that CPU  and with rtx 2080 there will be no space for and standard liquid cooler. So it reminds me that Linus featured 1u server with liquid cooler in it and i found it on ebay https://www.ebay.com/p/Dynatron-L8-All-in-one-1u-Server-Liquid-Cooler-Intel-Socket-Fclga3647/23023803930

Is anyone tries to use it in there rig? how loud it is? Is it possible to connect it to standard water block? Can I actually fit it in node 202?

Considered doing a sleeper in an old, small case instead? There are lots of old HPs, Compaqs and eMachines out there from the Socket 478 days that are roughly mATX size, look like junk, but have much better airflow than the 202. I'd be worried about a 9900K going supernova in that case.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Oh there are low profile coolers that can handle the 9900k, just keep it stock and undervolt as much as possible. Cryorig C7 Cu heatsink + Noctua NF-A9x14 I think

I dont think that I will be able to find any of that old cases. And I really wont to build a slim pc with the portability of a laptop.

Even with liquid cooling?

You can't liquid cool in a Node 202 without compromising the integrity of the case IIRC

find a place for a radiator on the node 202 first...

I was thinking about NH-L12S, but how much performance I will lose with undervolting it? Single threaded performance if critical for my tasks.

IMO, if single-threaded is your main concern, you're fine with an i5-9600K instead. Lots cheaper, and a lot cooler.

You're limited to a half-length GPU and you have to cut the case and compromise its integrity to do it. Square peg, meet round hole.

nope, node 202 only has 56mm CPU cooler headroom while the L12S is 70mm tall with fan placed below the heatsink.

the one you picked anyway is for LGA3647, in other words the socket of the 5GHz 28core chilled water CPU Intel showed off (W-3175X if you want the name) and not compatible with LGA 1151 anyway. Also that long radiator doesnt fit in the case, you have to mount it externally.

Not to mention half length GPU = Not fast = wasting CPU power, especially on a gaming rig.

So there are a few options for me. Undervolt 9900k, whitch will compromise perfomanse, and air coolit, or use i5-9600K which is some what slower, or use a different case. What the smallest case in which I could fit a decent cooler for 9900k?

p.s. with some headroom for OC?

Coming from a Node 202 owner, you either do what Bitwit did in the video mentioned above, or you undervolt the 9900K heavily.

I had to "mod" (change fan + zip ties) the Wraith Spire cooler to fit it in my case so that I could do a mild OC on my R5 1600 (which is a much cooler chip than the 9900K) - the Cryorig C7 just does not cut it.

Honestly, if I were you, I would probably go with another ITX case that can house at least a single fan radiator.

Under full overclocked load during Anandtech's testing (link), the 9900K was pulling almost 170W. That's 240mm radiator territory, and pretty much rules out reused prebuilt cases. A couple of Fractals might work: the Define Nano S (windowless) and the Core 500 both support a 240mm AIO, and both look unassuming and office-ish. If you want to prioritize sleeper over size to a degree, the Cooler Master N200 and Silencio 352 both look bland and boring.
