Mac OS experiment

Hi, so recently I've been really in Apple's devices and software. I am not a Apple fan and I am using windows computer and an android phone, but I just wanted to see for myself what is the feeling of Mac OS and try it out for a while. I found a simulator for different kinds of operating systems called VirtualBox. I got MacOS Mojave and it worked l, but the experience is far from perfect. Everything is so laggy and slow and I already tried giving more RAM and CPU cores to the program, but it doesn't really improve anything. My question is "Is it worth it to install a full Mac OS on my PC, cuz I've heard it is possible and is the experience the same as on a Mac device? Also I wanted to know if it is possible to not delete my windows in the process?" I wanted to let you know that I am not a tech professional at all, for now it is just my hobby, but I am studying in a tech school and next year we are actually going to start to do things with computers. It is not cut and dry and if you are not experienced with computers I would not recommend it.

 

Also it will not be a full Mac OS experience and getting it to work is very hardware dependent so if you dont have the right hardware it might not work at all.

Can you tell my about why is it not going to be a full experience? About the hardware I read somewhere that you could run it on any PC with a Intel processor.

There are functions of OSX that require certain hardware (i.e. air drop,)

 

Also the NVDIA drivers do not work on Mojave so you cant use them at all with that version of OSX.

 

Just because software can run on a machine doesnt mean it will be easy to get it there or get it to work the way you want it. With a Hackintosh (what you are suggesting) you have to edit driver files, you have to run multiple installations, you have to run command line, etc.

Nah hackintoshes are going to be a thing of the past once Apple swaps to ARM again. Honestly using both extensively MacOS is a much better operating system but windows has gayyymz. But proton exists so windows really isn't needed
