dx12 on w7

i think i understand why microsoft added (part of) dx12 onto windows 7. when people playing WoW with dx12 see the improvements in fps that they get, they would want to get w10 so they can get the full dx12 and support for other games. I might be wrong, but it is just a theory.

most likely requested by some large company or industry. MS doesnt give a damn to home users, that's why new updates are less reliable than AMD's promises.

Yes, I was saying that. Keep in mind that it is actually not system wide DirectX12 support. But rather per game basis would have DirectX12 included, and only have the calls the game uses. Microsoft works with each game developer to make this a reality on select popular games.

They're less likely to "give a damn" because the average home user can't afford a software engineer to look into it (The median salary of such is $101,790, or $50.90/hr) and they're not going to look into it for free just for one single home user.

 

Also when you have hundreds of millions of users, many of them with different software and hardware configurations, the chances of something going wrong is basically 100%.
