Is this enough for crossfire?

Go to solution Solved by helping,

One ribbon should split into two 6+2 connectors

you have 4.

HHi I'm lookin gto get a new PSU, at the moment I'm running a OCZ Modxtream 700, I'm sure thats just enough power to crossdire my dual 7870 le's in crossfire but i only has 2 pci express connections available and I dont want to run molex adapters to get things going and ruin any aesthetics I have with horrible splitters and extensions.

I am considering the corsair rm750 but again I dont want to run into this problem.

Can someone confirm how many pci e cable this ships with and accepts? Looking at this pic it can take 3 x 6+2 cables. But I need 4 x 6 pin to run both cards?

Am I missing something?

this should be a 4x6+2 and be just fine for running the cards. splitters running behind mobo tray arent a bad option but do suck the power a bit more as the longer the cable the more impedance that they cause.

OCZ isn't a reliable PSU company.

Switch to SeaSonic

Seasonic are the best in my opinion but OCZ aren't bad, well since I have one I'm hoping that they aren't bad

They went bankrupt

I hope the reliability wasn't the issue, I've had mine for around 10 months and don't fancy having to get another one yet though the next one with either be XFX or Seasonic
