Trying to find a good free voip server software that can be hosted at home. Any help would be awesome.

Gaming rig- Cpu- Amd 9590, 16gbs of G Skill Ram, Gpu- GTX 760 windforce 3 edition 2gb. A Thermaltake water 2.0 water cooler for my cpu. Keyboard- Thermaltake Posieden , Case- 750D, Mobo Asus 990fx R2.0. 24 inch Dell LED monitor

Skype, Teamspeak, Razer Comms are all good voip services.

I'm looking for one that I can host at home and I don't like teamspeak

What about Mumble?

Mumble or Teamspeak, both of which you can host at home, Teamspeak has the best quality and is the easiest to use, Mumble is completely open source. Both are free.

+1 vote for Mumble. The voice quality is top notch, and you can set your voice codec according to your upload.

I have mumble all set up it works good but does anyone know of one that supports video to and is free and home hosted

just use something like google hangouts

when it comes to voice and video ur kind of limited to things such as skype sadly

Mumble is one of the best for home hosting. Our hoster tested its impact on network usage few years back and it was minimal on server side. While quality and latency stayed good. I've heard its bit harder to setup than TS3.
