Clock Speed for Battery Life on Zenbook UX32VD

Hey,

A question that has been bugging be recently. I've not been getting the advertised battery life for my Ultrabook and have been getting about 2h30m on a single charge.

I realized when I'm on power saving mode, the CPU (i7-3667U) is running at around 800MHz but the load is constantly at 30-50%. When I run it on Balanced mode, the CPU runs at about 900MHZ-2.2GHz depending on load but the CPU load is consistently lower than on power saving mode.

Which will give me longer battery life? Low frequency, moderate-high load or moderate-high load but low load?

I would just use power saver mode when you want the extra battery life, otherwise run it in balanced or performance.
