First time setup help

windows 10 on a usb device 

 

what do I do ?

If you give it a reboot will it boot inot the windows installer?

This isn’t an official windows usb. I bought a key online and downloaded the windows creation media tool

Put USB with Win 10 first on the boot priority, F10, press "Save" and pray to whatever higher being you believe in for it to work.

doesn't need to be offical one, as long as it bootable it should boot into the installer

I have my key for windows 10. But my razer keyboard wasn’t working so I plugged it into a new USB port and it was working for a bit and now it is not. 

 

Now or I cannot enter the windows 10 key. I will need to continue without the key for now and use the free windows 10 version

You don't need a key to install, you just need the usb.

Install on drive 0 with unallocated space or on drive 1 also unallocated space?

whats drives do you have in the system?

 

Id unplug all drives but the one you want to install the os on.

I have an ssd and a hard drive 

 

i unplug whichever from from the drive  itself or unplug from the mother board ?

Doesn't matter what end you unplug. Id unplug the hdd, then reboot.

Okay cool. After I unplug I can’t just refresh the windows set up? There is a refresh button where it refreshes the list

Id shutdown, unplug and then power back on.
