Coil whine?

So, I've built my PC around two months ago, and I didn't have much time to use it so I all I did was just setting up windows, games, OC and stability checks, yesterday, I fired it up, and there was this very high pitched sound coming from it, and it was annoying.

Naturally, I thought it was coil whine, and so I researched about my parts and found no report (on google) that had anything to do with coil whine, and so I thought it was just weird, but it was getting late so I went to sleep, today, when I fired up my (Note: two month old) PC, it was there again, and so I had to restart after installing the latest AfterBurner update, and the sound was just gone, what just happened?

I would think then it's a device that changes power states after a restart , causing the coils to whine differently based on software controlling how much power they get or use. 

the end knowledge about coil whine is to basically ignore it until theres an actual problem.

Yes, but are two months old products, especially those without any report about them doing so, really that susceptible to coil whine? Because to my understanding, components develop coil whine, not just get it, or I might be wrong.

Yes this time you would be wrong.

 

Brand new components can whine. Sometimes it's the components itself , or sometimes just the combination of certain ones that creates whine but it's not really an issue to be concerned with.

Thank you, though I am quite annoyed by the sound, and to further worsen things, when my dog heard it she started whining herself, so I will contact the manufacturer to maybe get a replacement, again, thank you.

I would HIGHLY recommend you choose different parts and not buy the exact same parts

I have been helping people for years with pc diagnostics and have seen people replace components due to coil whine and still get coil whine. As stated , certain combinations of parts can produce whine , so don't expect replacing parts to actually work without drastically changing the make and model. just a headsup.
