Hi, I'm having an issue with my GPU. whenever I start a game the clock speed drops dramatically for my GPU. I don't know why. the temp is only 64 so can't be that. Read somewhere could be a power issue but I don't understand. thanks for any help at all. had this issue before but is getting worse

Video finally loaded. Install MSI afterburner and set the clock speed of the GPU to non-game speed. Let me know if the game crashes or anything.

installed it but not sure what you ment by non game speed. currently the clock speed is 1163 with no game running without tweaking the settings

Basically set the clock speed in MSI afterburner to whatever the clock speed is when no gaming is running.

ok without tweaking any settings so +0 for clock speed its sat at a constant 1163.

launching a game does not crash it but will make it drop to 500 - 900 clock speed

think i fixed it. Took the gpu out and used my hair dryer to clean up all the dust. also cleaned out the pci slot. i then also changed the power cables connecting to the gpu seems to be all good now. dont know what one fixed it but it looks like its working
