Hey guys! So I was wanting to get Ubuntu on my pc and I downloaded it blah blah bla....Now, I have another problem. It does boots but.......I get this error:

"Reboot and select proper Boot device

or Insert Boot media in selected Boot device and press a key_" (without the quotation marks)

Now, What should I do? I'm tired of trying again and again....

Thanks :(

Did you succed in installing Ubuntu? If so, go into your bios and select you HDD/SSD as the prumary booting device.

No. I have the 13.10 and also the other version (12.....LTS). I have downloaded WUBI.EXE to install Ubuntu through windows (or something like that). I've still not installed it. what should I do? Install it through wubi.exe? (for longer support) or use the Live dvd? (for more features)

WUBI isn't supported anymore.

Compatible with Windows 95

I would recommend burning the Ubuntu image unto a DVD and install it that way. WUBi isn't even supported anymore (Atleast to my knowledge)

Yeah,take a look at this: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/install-ubuntu-with-windows

And I'd quite honestly try installing it on a pen drive, the installer is so much faster that way. Plus, you don't take up a DVD.

Whatever you want to do, you do.

Compatible with Windows 95

My mobo doesn't support Pendrive booting I guess.

Have you tried installing 12.04 LTS on a DVD and then using that?

How old is the computer?

Nope.I tried it by using wubi :(. But as i hear, wubi is extinct :(. Should I try 12.04 LTS on the dvd?

Go through wubi, it even does the partitioning for you, its seriously helpful for linux beginners.

As always, BACK UP YOUR DATA in case you run into trouble.

edit: apparently wubi only has 12.xx ubuntu, sorry man.
