Was windows already installed, or are you trying to install it?

I'd start looking at the hard drive health first.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Possibility's

1) Window is corrupted, You may need to do a restore with the HP restore options.

I would try restore. You will lose the data on the HD , but at this point you may have no choice.

Unless the data is crucial and you are willing to send the HD to a recovery company, with cost associated.

2) HD is damage, this is hard to tell, unless you change the drive or test it on an other computer.

3) Try booting in safe mode. If you reboot your system several time, it may go into safe mode. If you go to support at HP it may give you the procedure for booting into safe mode.

Good Luck
