Did you try the songs on other platforms? So are the songs themselfs clean? Can you reproduce that with other audio aswell? e.g. while gaming? (if gaming is sth. you do on ubuntu).

It's my Steambox... (Accutally it's a high end pc in a prodigy that i use on my tv.)  Also yes won't work. Yes they are. Nope.

That is a tough one. I am not an audio engineer. My guess would be that something interfers with your audiochip. Maybe a magnetic field or it's broken. Installing windows for a quick try is too much work, iguess?

I am getting ahead of myself, is it a custom steambox, that you built yourself? either way post as many specs of it as you know, most importantly the specs of the audio source, maybe someone can help then.

who cares...

O.o

especially the storage O.o

Try setting everything back to it's stock clocks, next time that error occurs. Maybe something isn't running stable or something i not 100% compatible with overclocks.

Edit: what are your CPU temps when stress testing? I'd like to know how well that cooler (which i also own) can cool Haswell.

who cares...

I have a pretty good chip so my temps are rather low @ 73 degrees.

Happens to me too. Audio seems fine, then out of the blue when when someone says something it goes crazy, doesnt matter where too. A quick fix for me is just restarting the comp and its all back to normal.

Most times its happened ive been watching youtube with raidcall on in the background, but ive only notice it happen after i turn my comp back on from hibernate.
