possible new build, need help.

i am planning a new build for 2014, im wondering if amd FM2+ socket would be any better than my 1155 Core i5 3470 in the future.

here are the planned specs,

 

these are the unfinalized specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-UP4

CPU: AMD Athelon 760K

RAM: Corsair vengeance 8GB (owned)

 

and these are the ones i have decided on:

Case Cooler master N600

Gtx 760 (owned)

 

everything else is open for debate.

the i5 you have now is better than the athlon in terms of performance an upgrade would be something like an fx 8320/50 with a new motherboard or a 4670K and a new motherboard

no, thats downgrade. in the future? well if we see 4 module fm2+ processor, probably, but still is not worth the investment and risk. we simply dont know.
