Looking for help building a white gaming rig.

After watching this build montage - I thought about building a similar rig but with intel.

I compiled most of the stuff, but I am missing a motherboard and maybe a better looking GPU.

The build should be around 2000 USD, best is newegg and Amazon. Going to PLAY PLAY PLAY on a monitor that is 144/165hz and 27'.

OC? Going to enable XMP for sure for that memory, not sure about CPU.

I saw a lot of posts here and talks that ASUS motherboards are not good so I kind of gave up on ASUS PRIME Z390-A.

What would you recommend for a motherboard that is white and can mimic the build? and maybe a different GPU.

There is the NZXT Z390 board in White, but it might not fit your budget ?

The Asus Z390 boards are not the best in terms of VRM, but they would be more than fine for the 9600K if you want the cheaper option.

White gpu

@lee32uk Thanks!

Would the Asus be okay with a CPU OC to around 4.6-4.8Ghz? How about the 9700K?

I see a lot of talks regarding ASUS, but it seems for extreme OC and not for the average consumer.

The NZXT IMO is not the most pretty looking, so I rather skip it.

Thanks for the GPU !! looks simply amazing.

The Asus board should be fine for the 9600K or 9700K. Not really a lot of choice for White Z390 boards.

There are boards with Silver accents such as the MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon. It is a pretty neutral colour scheme overall.

Or the more expensive Gigabyte Z390 Designare.

The Asus Prime Z390-A has some Silver accents on it though as well, mainly the heatsinks.

@lee32uk Thanks.

After discovering this amazing looking Z390 Designare, not sure I even want to go ASUS! :)

I will hide the CPU intake fans between the case and the radiator and put a white exhaust fan at the rear.

Maybe add a custom 8pin PCI E cables - black and white

Should be looking slick with a solid RGB color on the memory, cooler and MOBO.

I wish there was a way to generate a model for the parts you build.

Thanks!!

Slightly more than your build, but with the bigger Meshify S2. You can mount the gpu vertically in this case if you want.

Swapped out the Ram for the standard Corsair Vengeance White. The Designare isn't part of the 'Aorus' family, but I don't think Gigabyte boards support the 'Pro' version of the Corsair Ram anyway (RGB Sync).

The Designare does have an RGB header so you can add an RGB strip or two if you want more RGB. I think the Deepcool comes with a strip though if I am not mistaken.

Gone with the 360mm Deepcool, but you can easily go with the 240mm if you want. The 360mm should perform better though due to the bigger radiator.

If you go with the 240mm then you can also switch back to the standard Meshify as well if you want to save a bit more.

Thanks @lee32uk!

I actually really like the fact that the Meshify C is compact. I would rather stay with it since the S2 is huge!

I will stick to 240mm, even though correct me if I am wrong - I can fit 360mm by removing some parts at the front.

Regarding the motherboard - Not a lot of other white options when going Intel I guess :)

Yeah the Meshify C is a lot more compact if that is what you want. As for the radiator the Meshify C does take a 360mm in the front but you need to be careful as once you have the radiator and fan fitted you are reducing the overall space left for the gpu. I would just stick with 240mm or 280mm as they can go in the top.

Yeah not a great deal of options for White boards. Also a bit of a shame that the Designare isn't part of the Aorus range. Think it uses a different software for the onboard lighting. That is one reason I switched the ram in my spec as I am not sure if RGB ram will sync with it ok.

Think the Deepcool cooler comes with a controller for the RGB.
