Watching movies together on different pc's

Hey i'm looking for a service like "lets gaze" but an alternative since this isn't working. I want to upload a local video on my machine so that my girlfriend can watch it with me in a browser on her computer at home. I tried finding other services but most of them are only for netflix,vimeo,youtube etc.

does anyone have an idea ?

I only remember this because a friend of mine used it for his movie nights, but have you tried rabb.it?

I checked out rabb.it but you cant stream local files only files that are on the web sadly

Yeah, I'm at a blank; not many places allow you to stream local files.

Hey so .... I think i found a way ! If you upload your local file to dropbox , make a link and insert that link in rabb.it it works !

Chrome Remote Desktop, install it on both pc browser.

Improvise , adapt , overcome ?  ... tho the baked in subtitles arn't working .. need to find a solution to that.
