I'm currently using restream to serve streams from my local church to both youtube and facebook but it has had intermittent issues. For weeks it will run flawlessly at a perfect bitrate with 0% dropped frames. Then it will drop 30% of frames or more and have a horrible bitrate for no apparent reason, and then it will be fine for the next several weeks. I started the stream today it worked flawlessly for a few minutes, only now I am having issues with dropped frames. I have run a few ping tests and the ping to known IP addresses is incredibly high, with 1.1.1.1 averaging 200 ms ping. I checked on a different computer and the ping is equally high there, so I suspect some issue with the network, but I personally have very limited knowledge of how it is configured. Any ideas as to why a live stream would experience such problems seemingly at random?

(I'm getting worse ping to my home network 5 miles from home than I did on a train in Pennslyvania using train wifi.) :P
