Sound isn't being detected

EJOE

Hello. Today, my network adapter in my PCI slot died. So I opened my computer and took out the GPU for clearance and took out the network adapter and put it back in to test it out. It wasn't working. So I took it out and put in an ethernet cable along with everything else. When I turned my PC on there's an "x" on my sound logo on the bottom right of my screen. It can detect my monitor speakers but it says the NVIDIA OUTPUT sound is "Not plugged in" when it is actually plugged in. Any ideas? Could I have hit a wire or something?

Also. When I go into "device manager" under "System Devices" there's a "High Definition Audio Controller"597703732_Screenshot(2).thumb.png.ce218cd86f1e5aa6f7309bf6a75b44c9.png with a yellow  triangle with an exclamation point in it
