Yes.

 

You could probably daisy chain like 10 SSD's off of one sata power cable (assuming it had enough connectors)

They use so little power it's unreal.

Sata is the connector for data that connects to the motherboard.

The connector for power is a 23 pin for power and that's exactly what I call it.

 

So no, it's not called sata power as far as I know.

If you have a bunch of 3-4+ I really rocommend getting the capacitated sata power cables mentioned in my anthrax build log. Theyre not that much, safer, and they really clean thing up.

If you had enough splitters for it you could daisy chain atleast 75 SSD on one SATA power connector. One connector is officially rated for 22.5W and the average SSD draws only 0.3W (You could probably draw 50W from a single SATA power connector no problem)

You'll be fine. Since you're using SSDs it doesent really matter
