I wouldn't expect an FX 6300 to handle more than an RX 560 to be honest.

I'd also recommend upgrading to a newer platform such as Ryzen instead of staying on FX.

I would say and rx 570 max or gtx 1050ti max. I have an rx580 and i was using an i5 3570 and it was not enough. I had to upgrade to an i7 3770 to get gpu being utilized well.

Thanks for the info. I plan on upgrading later to something newer. I just wanted to pick a decent GPU and call this pc done with upgrading. I plan on playing Star Citizen, so a new system in going to be needed.

I mean, if you're already planning whole-new rig after this GPU, if your PSU is good you could buy a higher-power GPU with the idea of using it in your next build (up cycle just the newer stuff).  So you could pair the GPU you're getting with a newer CPU down the line and unlock full potential.  But that assumes you don't wait more than 1-2 years to upgrade, otherwise it's wasted money now to buy more GPU than your older AMD cpu can handle.
