Looking for some help. Planning a new build. This what I currently have.
4 year old Asus rog tower
I7 377K
16gb ddr3
New 750w psu (going in new build)
New Vega 64 (going in new build)
New evo 860 500gb ssd (going in new build)
3 27inch 1080p freesync monitors
I just use this for a racing sim. I’m pretty sure my cpu is dragging down my card but not to sure now. Dirt rally 2.0 gets about 57 FPS on medium settings. Do you guys things it’s mostly the proscessor and ram? Or gpu too?
Was going to go with a 2600x for now in the new build

New 750w psu

Helps to know what the make and model is.

Is your goal only 1080p 60fps?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Not looking to just hit 60fps I want to run high settings for a bit easily. I starting to think my gpu might not be strong enough with a good cpu.

A Vega 64 is GTX 1080 level, it's a high end graphics card so high details at 1080p will get you good framerates if you've got an appropriate CPU. A Vega 64 is appropriate for a 1440p 100Hz+ refresh rate build.

A ryzen 5 CPU has great value, and if you know how to overclock, the Ryzen 5 2600 (non-x) is the best buy.
