Windows 10 Transfer?

AmpedUpDad

Okay, so I am planning a new build sometime this year, and I already have Windows 10 on my current build.

With a fresh install on the new computer, will I be able to just use the same key from my old system when installing Windows, or do I need to get a whole new key?

Usually it is not a problem to transfer you key (At least I did not have any problems).

Just makle sure you are using the same microsoft account, sometimes microsoft "locks" the key to your microsoft account.

I never had a problem with that but you never know.

Yes you can use the old key, the windows activation can be moved to the new build.

If you can't, call microsoft, they will reset the record in their database so you can use it in a new pc.
