Hi all,
As the title suggests, I'm looking for a thin, light laptop with a reasonable battery life that is good for light video editing and school work.
I'm currently still a student so my budget range is around 900$-1200$ only.

and speaking of a thin, light laptop, what do you think about the Asus Zenbook, the LG gram, and the HP Envy? Should I consider one of those?

Many thanks!

Location? Preferred max weight in kg/lbs and min battery life in hours? Any preference on display size? Need dGPU? Mind low sRGB display and non-upgradable RAM?

If it is for some light video editing, you can go for a Lenovo Ideapad I7. A very portable laptop with a 14" screen, but it has the power to do some video editing.

Or when you want a computer on MacOs, you can go for a MacBook Air 2015 I5. It's an older laptop, but can still do some very useful work. Note that it only has a 128 or 256 HD.

Southeast Asia, Vietnam to be exact.
Max weight should be around 2kg
Min battery life: probably 5-6 hours
I think 13" should be enough unless there is a 14 or a 15 inch version that comes with a reasonable price.
I would mind a low sRGB display but with that price range, I'm not expecting much.
Non-upgradable RAM would be a deal breaker for me, but if It comes with nice specs, nice price, good screen...etc, I would consider it.

Lenovo Ideapad I7 seems like a really good deal, I'll watch more review about it. Thanks for the suggestion

https://www.anphatpc.com.vn/may-tinh-laptop_dm1006.html?sort=price-asc&page=5

https://www.hanoicomputer.vn/laptop-pc-mtb/c159.html?sort=price-asc&page=3

These two are one of  the largest stores that we have here.

900$~11000$ equal around 17 mil VND~ 25 mil VND. Different markets have different prices, that price range seems like a sweet spot for me

Many thanks for considering my request!
