ok im pretty savvy with computer building and all that,im pretty good with overclocking but when it comes to benchmarking im somewhat a noob, like i see the results but what do they mean? are they good? bad? i suppose the best thing to do is compare with others but not many free bench suits do that,so anyone know of such a bench suit that lets you compare with others? for free that is..i did find one such thing but it seems not very accurate as i have had different results with other bench suits but heres one result that i did,let me know what you think.

I don't like synthetic benchmarks that much and I don't think there that useful.I would just use any games that you currently own

how would i bench using a game? also on my bench in that link it says make sure xmp is enabled which i did then ran again yet it keeps saying the same thing, maybe because i overclocked the ram a little? i dont know but i pretty much get high frames in every game i played so far. i may just be paranoid lol

What game?

Some have built in benchmark tools like Rise of the Tomb Raider or CS GO

For others you can just play a couple games and record average FPS

You can compare a lot of benchmarks on HWBOT

As for userbench they chop the higher results so can only compare against "average" results AFAIK

Here's the result for a Haswell mobile CPU a couple of generations older than your top of the range Skylake desktop CPU you can compare to.
