Reusing the USB from installing windows

Hello!

So I'm gonna build a pc tommorow, and I'm gonna use an USB I have some pictures on, I'm planning on putting all the files on the USB onto a laptop than using the USB to install windows.

But I don't know what I need to do with the USB to delete everything off it, do I format it, or can I just plug it in my laptop and open the USB and delete everything off it, and when will it be safe to put the files back onto the USB?

(sorry if my English was bad)

After you’ve installed Windows you can just format the usb drive in disk utility and use it normally.

If you only have one usb drive and you plan on using this to install windows, your best bet would be to store them on an online location like one drive or google drive. Both of these offer a limited amount of free storage, so if you could also split the data between them if it would be too much for just one.
