Office Headphones

Hello.
 I am a quality engineer who is quite ADHD  and my office has ended up near the offices of people on our sales team. Those people tend to talk a lot on office calls and other such things and in small impromptu meetings. I am looking for headphones at multiple price points that will provide quality listening experience without the use of a DAC/AMP. The main reason for this is that right now I don't have the money to drop 500$ on the kind of setup that I would like, but would like to start building towards that with at least a pair of professional headphones that I can wear in an office. I would prefer that they have some kind of sound dampening so that I can ignore people, but am still reachable if someone needs me. I would prefer over ear as on ear headphones tend to hurt my ears also earbuds are completely out. These headphones don't have to build towards and audiophile setup but would be most appreciated if they did.
