Hey everyone, :)

I'm in the UK looking to build a workstation with the 2950x. All would run stock speeds except the memory. I'd like to request a recommendation on what memory kit would be 100% guaranteed to work without stability issues at 2933mhz.

I have heard about a lot of people having stability/compatibility issues with the threadripper and memory; from what I've read, the most optimal choice would be:
-Samsung B-Die
-Quad channel kit
-2933mhz+
-On the Mobo QVL or proven to work with it

The G.Skill Flare X 64gb 4x16gb 2933mhz seems to be the best choice, however I can't find anywhere in the UK from a reputable place with it in stock.
(I am aware of the B-Die Finder here: https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/) - however, being forced to use B-Die for the threadripper makes the price difference between skylake x smaller since it's not to fussy with the memory, so why even go for the tr?

I am ideally looking for 64gb, so 4x16gb.

Also, what is the best air cooler for the 2950x? Or is it vital I have an AiO for good temps?

This is the current part list:
CPU: TR 2950X
CPU Cooler: Dark Rock Pro TR4
Motherboard: ASRock X399 Taichi
Memory: ?
Storage: 1x 970 evo 500 GB M.2, 1x WD 4 TB 5400RPM HDD
GPU: MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio
Case: Cooler Master H500M
PSU: Corsair HX1000i
OS: Windows 10 Pro

Any other thoughts are welcome! :)

Hi KingCry,

Thanks for your suggestions, I really appreciate it! - Thing is, those 3 kits aren't available/in stock in the UK anywhere that I can see.
