System powers off on its own

hey everyone this is my first post here, really could use some help. I just upgraded back to AMD  got the ryzen 7 2700X and using the stock wraith cooler with it. The rest of my system specs mentioned below

 

Windows 10 pro 64 bit

16 gb ddr 4 corsair vengnace 2400mhz  ram

Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero

Asus Geforce 980 video card

Coolermaster 1200W Psu

 

Im facing a strange issue where my pc is turning off randomly which would normally indicate either cpu overheating or psu issues but i cant figure out which. On my earlier system i was using the Coolermaster V8 GTS cooler and switched it our for the wraith cooler on this system. Is the wraith cooler that unreliable that a little dust in it would cause this or can I safely say its the psu failing? I was considering pulling off the wraith cooler and switching back to the coolermaster V8 GTS but that would be a really big task and im not sure it would solve the issue. What do you all think it could be failing psu or cpu overheating or something completely different which i havent even thought off?

I would say this is a thermal issue to the CPU.

 

Have u run software to see what kind of temps ur getting?

yes its idling at about 46 degrees and under load goes up to 60 degrees odd.

You've got concerns about the power supply but you're not gonna list which one it is? Pretty sure cooler master makes a couple of these (age is good to know too)

oops sorry its the V1200 platinum psu. It was purchased 5th march 2016

also forgot to mention in my original post that when the system  last powered off and the only way to turn it on is to turn the power supply off completely or pull the psu cable out and wait for the mobo lights to go off then turn it on again and after which the pc would come on. This happened to me last night a couple of times both of which when i was not using the system and before that happened almost 2 weeks ago.

your temps and cooling solution is fine, if you have to unplug the power supply and or switch it off entirely it seems like that the psu itself is the issue, if you have access to one find another to test with

ok do have an old 650W corsair one but dont think it would be able to take the load of my system.

so its most likely psu only right then will try and see if i can replace it under warranty.

650watt should be ample on your PC.

ok i do have quite a few extras though which all would be drawing power also.

• 3 x 4 regular pin pwm fans
• 3 x 3 RGB NZXT fans
• 1 x 250 GB SSD

sorry to keep bothering you all but this happened 3 times today and im really getting fed up. I will try and switch to my old 650W psu but the problem is the issue is random it sometimes happens frequently and if it doesnt happen it will run smoothly for a few days or weeks without any issues. I even tried running a stress test on the cpu and gpu and the system didnt go off. I dont want a situation where i take the effort of removing the entire psu and replacing it with the 650 one and it works for fine for a few days and I get the 1200 one replaced under warranty and i still face the same issue.
