Hey guys.

I'm trying to get ready for Metro Exodus to be able to play it on High with a smooth framerate, but not only that, i just generally want to learn to Overclock.

I've had a few builds in the past, the one i currently have is a trade-off for my previous laptop to the Desktop i went for.

My current Rig  is as follow

GPU: Asus Dual OC GTX 1060 6GB

CPU: AMD Ryzen 2400G with AMD Wraith Prism Cooler

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz DDR4

Motherboard: ASRock AB350 PRO4

PSU: Seasonic MI2 Evo Edition 520W

SSD: 120GB M2 WD Green

HDD: Toshiba 500Gb

Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5RGB with 3 Intakes + 1 Exhaust

Basically, i would like to get the GPU to 2000Mhz as i've seen in a lot of YouTube videos that its possible. The PC is 1 year-ish old. The CPU Idles at 32 to 37 degrees Celcius.

The GPU  Idles at about 38 with the Fan On, and 54 with the 0DB Fan mode from Asus OC Tweak.

How would i go about this, what program should i use for the Overclock. Has anyone Overclocked this exact GPU that i have and whats  the safe settings you guys used.

I dont know if i should Overclock the CPU as well, and if so, how should i do that.

All in all, i'll be watching your responses as i really want to OC the GPU :D

Wish you all a great day

GPU overclocking is usually done in MSI afterburner or a manufacturer specific OC program. CPU OC'ing is usually done within the BIOS/UEFI. For overclocking, best thing to do is search "asus dual gtx 1060 oc safe overclock" and then just start taking down a list of what all people have set their GPU to, after about 25 samples from other users, start at the lowest sample and you should get good results. Unless you're messing with voltages, it's pretty hard to fry a card.

On Nvidia, voltage is locked out of user control so you can just raise everything as much as you like and you won't be killing or even hurting any hardware. Just adjust the fan curve if you don't like the temperatures or noise.
