what temps do you get at 55% because im running at that too still getting 90 degrees while testing

Sorry I can't be of more help, I generally don't pay attention to my temps anymore but I'll make a few observations a little later for you.

With gta 4 max'ed out in 1080p I was hitting about 84 degrees. But on something like FarCry 3 she definitely cooks! What make do you have exactly? I've been trying to find out if xfx' warranty supports aftermarket cooling. If so, I might recommend that you do this. Although, the card is supposed to get hot. I don't know that cooling will provide better performance at stock clocks, maybe it'd even inhibit performance, but I know it would offer great peace of mind.

For a crossfire setup, which do you think is best: 2x ref 290s or 2x custom air cooled 290s (dc2, tri-x, etc)? I've heard that blower style designs are better for crossfire. Which seems logical because all the heat is exhausted at the back instead of being recycled by the card just above.
